Electricity Bill Comparison Guide Precautions for Use

  • The displayed amount is a simulation result and does not guarantee the actual billing amount. The actual billing amount will vary depending on electricity usage, contracted amperage, fuel cost adjustment charges, renewable energy generation promotion levies, company rate revisions, etc. Additionally, this simulation is an approximate value calculated based on the input information.
  • The information regarding electricity company rate plans posted on this service is compiled from information published by each electricity company, and does not guarantee the rate unit prices, services, or other details at the time of viewing.
  • This simulation covers pure electricity charges only. Various discounts, point rewards, cashbacks, bundle discounts (gas, mobile phones, internet, etc.), and equipment discounts are not included in the calculation results. Similarly, various discounts applied by your current electricity provider are not reflected.
  • Government subsidies, such as those provided under the electricity cost relief program, are not included in the calculation results.
  • The remote islands universal service adjustment unit price is included in the calculation results in the applicable areas.
  • The Okinawa Electric Power Company service area and remote island regions are excluded from this simulation.
  • We perform the simulation by having you enter your electricity consumption for one month and estimating the consumption for 12 months based on it (you can also enter the consumption for all 12 months individually). Depending on your input, there may be a difference from your actual consumption and electricity bill.
  • If you enter electricity bills or consumption from more than a year ago, the electricity consumption and bills may not be simulated correctly.
  • If "Other / Unknown" is selected for your current power company, the comparison results are calculated based on the standard plan of the major power company in your area. You can obtain a more realistic comparison by entering your billing amount from the results screen. Please note that if the entered billing amount includes discounts or point redemptions, discrepancies may occur in the comparison results.
  • This simulation is calculated for the period from August 2026 to July 2027.
  • The unit prices for the fuel cost adjustment and power source procurement cost adjustment are updated on the last day of each month (or the next business day if it is a holiday) for application in the following month, and are calculated by applying the same unit price for 12 months during the simulation period. Plans with high-frequency unit price fluctuations, such as minute-by-minute or daily changes, are not eligible for listing on this service.
  • The unit price equivalent to the capacity contribution is calculated using the latest unit price published by each electric power company.
  • For plans with a cap on the fuel cost adjustment amount, the calculation takes the cap into account. On the other hand, the minimum charge (floor) for the fuel cost adjustment amount is not taken into account.
  • If there is a change in the fuel cost (power source procurement) adjustment method, a simulation may be conducted using figures such as the fuel cost adjustment amount for the following month that will apply after the change.
  • The renewable energy promotion surcharge is calculated using the latest unit price updated every May.
  • If your current contract plan does not have an ampere (contract capacity) category, and there is no assumed contract power or similar basis for calculation in each simulation plan, the calculation is uniformly based on an equivalent of 40A. The actual amount you pay will vary depending on your usage conditions after contracting.
  • In some cases, the planned rate changes by each electric utility may not be reflected.
  • Since this service calculates based on household power data, the calculation results for shops, offices, etc., may differ significantly from the actual billing amount.
  • If you use private power generation facilities such as solar power generation systems or storage batteries, the calculation results may differ significantly from your actual payment amount.
  • Major electric utilities refer to the former general electricity utilities in each region (Hokkaido Electric Power, Tohoku Electric Power, Tokyo Electric Power Company Energy Partner, Chubu Electric Power Miraiz, Hokuriku Electric Power, Kansai Electric Power, Chugoku Electric Power, Shikoku Electric Power, and Kyushu Electric Power).
